My Mother Inspired Me to Provide In-Home Home Care to Seniors
My Mother worked as a cook in a senior home for years. As a young girl, I would visit her and before I entered the door I was greeted with a strong odor. Each time I visited the center I would see the elderly sitting in a corner or table ALONE, with no one caring for them. My mother had six girls, and she would occasionally say to us, “When I get old, please don’t put me in a nursing home.” My mother left that job to care for my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Shortly after my grandmother’s passing, Mom was diagnosed with cancer. We kept our promise! The last year of her life was spent at home among her family, which allowed her a peaceful transition while being surrounded by her children.
For me and my Husband, “Caring for the Elderly Is Our Way of Giving Back.” We have always had great compassion for the elderly and providing high-quality care to our senior community.
